Emotional, heavy and unforgettable! Tragedy, life-changing experiences, and broken hearts... They’ve all been the catalyst of inspiration for many great songs over the years and in the case of Sydney Fate, this is no exception!

Emerging from Cardiff, South Wales, Sydney Fate are a six-piece alternative-metal outfit formed in high school by vocalist Bailey Edwards and bassist Thomas Atkinson‑Turner — but it was a re-formation in 2018 with a solidified lineup that truly set them on their path. Their official debut came in December 2018 with the EP ‘Sound Alive’, a raw, cathartic record that caught attention across the UK metal scene.

The band signed to US-based Eclipse Records and recorded their first full-length album, Silicon Nitride, released April 3rd 2020 — an emotionally charged collection of songs shaped by personal experience, introspection, and resilience. This album secured Sydney Fate three nominations at the Cardiff Music Awards for best single, best music video and best live act. They were also named one of the best emerging bands in the UK by KERRANG!’s Sophie K, made it to the finals of Marshal Records’ ‘The Deal’ in 2024 and took home Newport’s Arcadia award for best Metal band in 2025.

As well as headline shows in the UK, Sydney Fate have also shared the stage and supported amazing bands such as Ocean Grove, As December Falls, Hacktivist, Neil Star (Attack! Attack!), Sean Smith (The Blackout), Defences, RXPTRS + More!

Today’s line up consists of Bailey Edwards (Vocals), Thomas Atkinson-Turner (Bass), Terry Collins (Drums), Dominic Evans (Guitar), Ellis Jarvis (Guitar) and Ryan Manly (Screams).
