Catalysis
Catalysis is a 5 piece metal band from Dundee, Scotland.
Since their inception in late 2016, the band have released 4 EPs and 2 albums - 2020's Connection Lost and 2023's Betrayer.
In 2022, Catalysis appeared at Bloodstock Festival alongside acts like Lamb of God, Behemoth and more, as well as opening for Avatar and playing heavily around Scotland - cementing their reputation as an intense and exciting live band, and earning them the Best Metal award at the 2022 Scottish Alternative Music Awards.
In 2023, the band released their second full length album 'Betrayer' to great critical success.
2024 was a year of both triumphs and adversity for the band, with highlights including a successful Irish tour and an appearance at a sold out Rebellion Club in Manchester, but the increased live schedule led to the departure of 3 band members.
Not a group to rest on their laurels, the band quickly regrouped, recruiting new members Andrew Downie (vocals), Jamie Paterson (guitar) and Robi Islam (bass), the band debut their new single Lazarus on 29th Nov 2024.
